We have always been a popular desination for vactioners and 2nd home owners,The climate and central proximity brings foreign residents from all over. Late in 2010 foreign buyers hadn't quite seen the downturn in their local economy so buying in the US made a lot of sense and was geting a lot of attention. It still does, but some foreign economies are weaker as the US economy has led the world recovery. Today in 2013, residential property values have steadily increased and even spiked in some areas. There are still plenty of deals out there, and home values are just off the all time recent lows, that were almost fifty percent  below values reached in  2006.
